Who organises the JITO Thane Half Marathon?

JITO Thane Half Marathon is jointly organized by JITO Thane Chapter, JITO Education and Medical Trust with support from Thane Municipal Corporation, Shree Mahavir Jain Hospital, Tata Memorial Hospital and Rotary Club Thane.

Is it a timed event?

Yes, Half Marathon, 10 KM & 5Km all three races are timed run

What are the different race categories?

JITO Thane Half Marathon has 3 categories:

  • Half Marathon (21 Km)
  • 10 Km Run
  • 5 Km Fun Run

What are the registration fees?

  1. Half Marathon - INR 1300
  2. 10 Km Run - INR 1100
  3. 5 Km Fun Run - INR 499

What does the registration fees include?

  1. Registration fees includes your entry to participate in the chosen category.
  2. Medal for all finishers on race day
  3. Race day T-shirt

What is the last date of registrations?

Will be announced soon.

Can I cancel / transfer my registrations?

Registration fees once paid are non-refundable or non transferable. In the event of cancellation / postponement of the event by the organizers, the registration fees will be refunded.

Can I change my race category on or before race day?

No

Can I register for more than one category?

No. Individual registration is limited to participation in only one race. In case of multiple registrations, the registration will be cancelled.

What are the race start times?

Race start times will be declared closer to the event date.

Will there be a baggage counter on race day?

Yes there will be a baggage counter but it is strongly recommended to not carry any baggage. It is advisable to keep your belongings in your vehicles. The organizers of the JITO Thane Half Marathon will not take any onus of baggage loss or any damage to baggage and its contents. For security reasons, every baggage will be screened. It is advisable to not carry any fragile or valuable goods in your bag.

What happens in case of COVID restrictions announced by the government?

In case the event is cancelled/postponed due to COVID restrictions, the registration fees will be refunded.

Where can I collect my running bib?

Will be announced soon.

Can my friend collect my running bib?

The Race kit (Event T-shirt, Running BIB, etc.) can be collected only from the Bib Expo. It cannot be collected either before or after that (NOT on Race day). If you are unable to collect your race kit personally, you can send a person with an Authorisation letter duly filled in and signed by you, to collect it on your behalf.
